Solidarity groups.
One of the greatest needs of teenage mothers is social and emotional support. Since these mothers are staying in different communities, we create solidarity groups depending on their location, these are meant to give them a sense of belonging and support for each other when we are not there.
This project offers bi-weekly visits for group and individual psycho-social support, this involves listening and monitoring of their progress. In these solidarity groups, teenage mothers are empowered to support each other and also to identify those who might need support but have not yet noticed. It’s in these groups that leaders are identified, formed, mentored and sent to be part of the mission.
